This boat is not to be confused with John Conroy's previous Star Ferry, but is the ex Petrosina II, which competed in the '83 Sydney Hobart Race and was designed and built in Italy. She finished 109th overall in the '83 Hobart, but knowing Conroy's reputation he should finish well up in the fleet, as in previous years. He has now contested nine races South as well as many other ocean races.
