Well raced yacht coming up for her 13th Sydney Hobart, Mercedes IV was fourth under IOR in 1975, 6th under IOR in 1984, was 1st in Division A in the 1989 Sydney Moololaba Race and 1st in Division A in the 1989 CYCA Winter Series. Mercedes IV also represented Australia in the 1975 Admiral's Cup in England, and this year will be sailing in the IMS class.
