Racing out of the Port Dalrymple Yacht Club in Launceston Tasmania, Dragonfyre's record has been very good. Designed by American Alan Gurney, she won the 1976 Melbourne to Devonport Race and took line honours in the 1977 Goose Island Race. She finished a great 10th in her only previous Hobart start in 1975, but may now find the competition a little tough to repeat that effort.
