Long the pride and joy are popular Tasmanian yachtsman, Hedley Calvert, Huon Chief takes her name from the magnificent Huon Pine of which she and many other fine Tasmanian yachts are constructed. National One Ton Champion in 1975, she is outclassed to some extent by modern designs, but her age allowance partially compensates for this.
