A one tonner owing a lot to early Farr design thinking, Matika III was designed and built by John Lidgard in New Zealand in 1976 but has done all her racing in Australia, winning the 1976/77 CYCA Division 2 point score. Now overtaken to some extent by design advances, she could still surprise given her conditions and should be well up in her division in any case.
