Diamond Cutter is a production Peterson one-tonner, built in New Zealand in GRP. She has regularly performed well in long ocean races on the east coast and is in good form this year having won the Sydney–Brisbane Race overall amongst other top performances. She was 3rd in division in the 1976 Hobart race and could easily match or improve on that this year.
